Unapproved research peptide popular for tendon, joint and gut recovery; human evidence is a handful of tiny uncontrolled reports
BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide sold for recovery. It has no approved use anywhere. The human evidence found is a 16-patient retrospective phone survey of knee injections and a 2-person intravenous safety pilot; everything else is animal work.
Recovery from a tendon or joint injuryrecommended
Community practice, not from a label or trial: the bottom of the 250-500 mcg/day, 4-12 week range. No trial supports it.
Route: Subcutaneous (community figure, near the injury site). Intra-articular and intravenous use appear only in small clinic reports.
Timing: No reliable figure found in the sources; ask your prescriber or supplier.

Community cycles are 4 to 12 weeks; no sourced rest period.
Why:
Not an FDA-approved drug. FDA removed it from the 503A Category 2 list on April 15 2026 because the nominators withdrew, which does not make it compoundable; a July 2026 advisory committee recommendation is not yet a rule. Check current status.
