7-residue chain
A seven-residue thymosin beta-4 fragment sold for recovery; not the full protein, and no human trials of the fragment found
TB-500 as sold is usually the acetylated fragment Ac-LKKTETQ, residues 17-23 of thymosin beta-4: one analysis found that fragment, not full-length thymosin beta-4, in a commercial TB-500 vial (PubMed 22962027). Human trials exist only for full-length thymosin beta-4 and do not transfer to the fragment.

Why:
Not an FDA-approved drug. FDA removed it from the 503A Category 2 list on April 15 2026 because the nominators withdrew, which does not make it compoundable; a July 2026 advisory committee recommendation is not yet a rule. Check current status.
